Contest Sticky thread?

Hey everyone,

was posting a contest we were running earlier but got a ton of frack and was labelled as spam, so i did as suggested, deleted the thread and what not. however, here's a suggestion maybe there could be sticky pages detailing as to the rules and regulations for posting a contest?

what are the acceptable means of posting it, what isn't? because there seems to be some sort of inconsistency (for instance if you don't have someones shipping address how do you give out prizes?)

Thoughts and suggestions from some of the veteran "go-to" posters?

thanks for removeing the spam post...reason for not having contestes here is because of Security reasons..like you said If I was to win I would have to give you my address to send my winnings...and right Now I thinking you be :cop:...most folks that share in this and other Marijuana forrums dont want there ID or location shared....we have a BPOTM contest that gives you front page braggin rights for the month...as for you...if I was Leo I could have figured your location and where abouts from your face book or twitter...and would think you was involved with illegal activities and come have a look see...I wish you the best in you venture..please do so safely

Thanks for the post. The main reason i was so confused was that i previously thought that this was where you post open contests or so. Sorry for the mistake, had i known that it was an in-site contest i would've not posted about it at all and just stick with general helpful posts or other non-contest posts.

At the very least now i know, once again thanks. Perhaps someone can sticky something onto the top of the contest page in case someone else does the same mistake that i did? just a suggestion.

Actually, the site will sometimes have contests, but we have not had one for many years. Security, like mentioned, is the major problem.

What exactly were you thinking? I can run things by MarP?
