Cloneing Question

I was thinking about takeing bigger clones to help cut down on veg time.

I was wanting to take like 6-7in clones to put into a dwc scrog. In hopeing to cut down on veg time. I knows it will root but will it help with the time issue. Or will i still have to let the roots to catch up to the top leaveing me with still a long veg time

Yeah if you take bigger cuttings it will cut down on the veg time forsure!

don't bigger cuttings take a little longer to root usually? (don't know personally, just what i've heard.. and i wont say one way or the other on anything untill i've tested it myself)

Not to say "bigger" take longerIMO the higher up on the plant the longer to root.I cut big clones everytime,put em in a tote and roll some plastic wrapp over it.Put that tote on a heating pad,low 15 no 15 off.Under some floros and 2 weeks later your ready 2 transplant.

What light are you vegging the mother under?

400w mh. She has Shes about a 2ft tall and been topped twice. Shes about 6-7 months or more old. I was thinking about takeing 3 or mabe more.

My plans are to get them in there DWC 30g tote asap and under my 24in x 43in screen. And to get them into flower asap. But being my 1st scrog and dwc. I have know idea how long im going to have to veg for. My tote will hold 6-5in net pots. But imworking with 400w hps in a 24in x 45in x 6ft area...with the screen set at 9 in above the tote.

The strain is caramelicious. if that helps.
How many would you put in there and how long would you veg?

it will take you longer to root larger cuttings. just a help tip, after you have your clone cut on the 45 degree angle preferably under water take your razor blade and scratch the side of your clone just enough to rough up the skin then dip in hormone gel. it cuts back a day or 2 and gives you more roots. hope this helps

Paitence my friend..it will take anywhere from 10-30 days to root..IMO..take the clips from the loawer part of plant..they seem to root faster..just my thaughts
