Allright...another ? about sex ID.
What are the little spikes on either side of the nodes at the base of the leaves. The new growth is visible in side these spikes. Has tis anything to do with ID? Or is this on both sexes. I have noticed this in previous grows but never persued the outcome. I eventually just waited for the True Tell Tale Signs.

Thank you again!!!!!:peace:

This is just new growth and happens on both sexes and has nothing at all to identifying sex. Faster growth does not necessarily mean that they are all males. It is fruitless to worry about this--they will be what they will be. How old are your plants?

The "spikes" you speak of are on all plants m&f.time will tell,at the stage of the game keep checking the nodes at the newer growth to see if you can spot some hairs or bananas.i know it's frustrating but focus on keeping them growing healthy & strong so when you do find out what you have, your harvest will be sweet. I put Epsom salt in and around my soil for slugs.epsom salt has micro nutes that are good for the plants in moderation.one/two tablespoons around the stem is what I do (if slugs are a problem).you should read some of the beginner threads as they will educate you further and answer slot of you questions.stay cool & goodluck.

You hit the nail on the Hemp:D
That is the answer I was looking for. This is the first year in many, that I did not sex the plants before I put them outside. My experience dictates that my previous method used to stunt the growth & yield of my grow. The fact that I didn't do this, brings the conclusion you have so kindly stated. Time WILL tell and I am very satisfied with the posts all you fellow "MP" posters have posted:)

BTW...Hemp Goddess, they are 3'-3.5' average at about 7-8 weeks from seed. I have decided to top some and not the others. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to post them:eek:

Thank you again for your knowledge and patience with me!! All of you that have posted replies:)
