i ended up buying girl scout cookies from a place called I49 in ft lauderdale , fla. 10 seeds $40, but i have a problem maybe you can answer, i got two bags of fox farms happy frog soil, right out of the bag the ph was 5.4, so i added some soil ph up (

last week. the soil is in a 40 gallon tote, i put one bag in(12 quarts) and mixed it really good added water, distilled, till the moisture content was 15 %, checked ph and it was 6.5, everyday i checked and it slowly went up to 7.5. , so yesterday i added the other 12 quart bag(ph of 5.4) and mixed it up really good, did slurry test and it was 6.5, today i did another slurry test and its up to 6.8. besides buying fox farms soil what am i doing wrong ? thanks george of the jungle

I49 has some good seed. I've grown their stuff before.

My promix is prob >5 outta the bag. Once watered dolomite in the mix buffers my medium.

You should treat your soil the same. Like Jan said. Plant it an quit worrying about all this soil prep stuff. Ph fluctuates all the time as the plants grow.

Once ya use all that FF I'd consider going to peat and Jack's to keep things simple. Ya won't be worrying about things so much..lol.

Ya got milky. Now you'll see splatters of amber mixed in with the milky.

I like a Racey buzz so I don't let a ton of ambers get in there. Amber shows the decline of the THC going down. Don't worry, it won't just drop potency suddenly. Lots of amber will go e you a narcotic effect but if you over ripen the bud. Pretty much worthless.

So to play it safe it gets some amber sprinkles and chop away.

If everything was looking good before that as far as no yellowing or issues I would say the issue is more a Potassium or zinc issue especially week 5. google pictures to confirm.

starting week 4 through 5 the plant will take up more potassium and sulphur than any time during its life as it starts to get ready to Bulk those buds up. I like using Potassium sulphate. Personally I like using the one from greenway bio tech but any will do fine you can order some on amazon as well. There are 2 different types of zinc. Chelated (Faster availability to the plant but way more expensive) Sulphate( Cheaper but takes time to break down and be available)

If it was a calcium issue you should have seen it get a little better by now. Calcium Chloride is a better choice later in flower. Before adding this though always make sure your run off PH and EC are in the right zone before adding anything. maybe even try cutting back on the nitrogen formula and use more of the PK to save money since you already have it. Could also try a light foliar feed of nutes half strength of what you water it. but leave out the Nitrogen.

thanks, i have 5 lime purple mist that the pictures are from, so im gonna start flushing them . they say it should be done for two weeks but im not too crazy about flushing for that amount of time. any suggestions?

Some people flush and get a beautiful fade. Sone don't flush at all. If you want to judge gor yourself. Just pinch a bud. Then dry it and smoke it. if you get your desired effect harvest if not wait a week or 2. The taste will change while curing the high wont.

Yep. There have been several side by side studies that show flushing is a waste of time. Flushing will not drain the nutrients out of the plant material or flowers.
