Hello all a am not lets say a newbie but more of a out of practice guy i live in mexico but am american all i can buy here is 250w hps what i wanted to start with is 2 250w compact floros cool white and two 250w hps I was hoping this would be enought for six to eight plants please let me know what you think.

That should be plenty, if you have the lumen ratings, you want 3000 lumens per sq ft minimum, 5000 would be much better though, especially during flowering.

It all depends on the bulb. But most 250W HPS are between 28,000 and 32,000 lumens.
