what strain, and when to harvest,

This young lady sprung up this year, i have collected seeds from various parts of the world in smoke that i have bought.
so im not sure what strain of plant she is,,
i grow outside on my balcony in downtown milan, and thanks to you guys, have learnt to tie my plants down and keep them out of sight of my neighbours,
can anyone give me any feed back on when to harvest..

The pics aren't really all that clear. But I think I see swollen calyxes, and that's a sign that they're near harvest. I see no pistils, though. Do you have a little microscope with which to check the trichome ripeness? That's the best way to determine ripeness. If not, not knowing the strain, I'd say wait until about 75-80% of the pistils have turned color from white to brown, red, etc., and have started to wither, and then pick. However, the best way to know for sure is to look at those trichs with a scope.

She definitely looks Sativa dom. 60-70% Sativa maybe. How long has she been in flower? You need to look at the trichs to decide when to harvest... When they start getting amber, she is close.

i imagine its really you alistar in the photo, and i want to say thanks, its been a strange plant in that its taken a long time to flower, everything very slowly, for months,, i had some other plants, that i harvested in september, so i understand about the pistils, does this mean then, the plant is a sativa and i am waiting for pistils to form, and harvesting is still weeks away,, can the leaves dieing indicate that the plant is maturing..

Now that I take a closer look, it could be full seeds or a hermie. Can you get some better pics? Try to get some closeup shots of the main buds. It's hard to see the buds real well. Sativas can take a long time to flower.

hey mr haze, thanks for taking an interest, i have checked for seeds and no,,
there are some pistils a very few, but a light brown,,
question, what is a hermie, i did a search on this site, but nothing,,
and is it possible for a plant to over flower,
my plants buds are very spacious, in that they are not a tight bud, but like
loose, if you can understand,
should i cut it down or leave it, im curious to leave it, but obviously i want something good to smoke,,
as im sure we all do....
