I never was a gardener - but since I started growing my pot it sparked this interest in growing other things. I'm still a total newb but so far I've got
2 lemon trees
4 kinds of hot peppers
tomatos
basil, dill, oregano
and eggs - I don't eat the chickens since they provide breakfast.
I really dig this interest in growing my own and becoming a bit more in touch with what I consume. I wouldn't say I'm ready for a full blown garden but I won't go back to planting purely ornamental plants. I found a swap club that meets once a month. We all bring our canned goods, extra produce, and home made crafts and barter amongst ourselves.

That is very cool OHC, and good to see you by the way. I am glad the gardening gene has come out of dormancy and you are enjoying the earth more and the fruits of your labors. Growing pot leads to growing vegi's! I love it.

My food garden is at my neighbors house. We share a space in the sun, i have almost all shade now. I have tomatoes, cucumbers, and sweet peppers.

I've been wondering if I can plant this old bag of potatos that's started growing eyes all through it.... any advice?

That is how I planted my potatoes. Cut the potatoe into pieces with an eye in each, and plant them about 2" deep, and water. That is all there is to it.

That garlic will take several years to develop a good size head. I'm on my 3rd year and they are still not real full heads.
