Weed bombs

There's an empty lot a block away from me and I was thinking of weed bombing it. I'm thinking of getting some fabric bags, like the ones they use for basmati rice, filling the bag with damp compost, inserting a seed, then simply hurling the bag into the area where I want to grow a plant. Hopefully the pre-pack will allow it to take off to the point where it will root through the base of the bag into the natural soil. Any of you guys ever try it?

No,,but I seen something simular done with trees from an airplane. They used soil covered in wax. Droped them from planes in Mississippi after the Devastation by the Hurricanes.

I just thought of something funny::OK maybe not funny,,,but what if yur neiabor seen ya throw the trash and said Im gonna call the PoPo on that litter bug and make him pick that up!!!ouch,,OFFICER SAYs""hey son whats that ya throwed over the fence? Go get that and bring it here ya little liter bug you.

Well, in the USA that could be a problem, what with the neighbour committees and so forth (argh) but not here! I'm gonna scope it out later on. Will use my sat dom hybrid if I decide yes. Busy today putting seed for hollyhocks, tomatoes, lupins, antirrhinums. Camouflage!

but how will you go to pull up males? i reccomend getting a pellet gun and shoosting the males from afar to kill them so you wonth have to go in....mabye you could do this with a high power air rifle, scope, and a good tree or window to sit in. haa

I'm already ahead of you on that one. I have a trained caterpillar that goes in and bites off all the male plants. The caterpillar gets all the hermies too.
