i`m using the "cup of water" technique, and would like to know if the cup/glass should be kept in light or darkness?
i`m using this method for the second time after having 'complete success' the previous occassion:)
i`ve used loads of different ways to germ seed, even throwing them into a bag with decomposing foliage then seal it up for a couple of days, the tap roots grow out huge! i actually found this out by mistake whe making some "gumby hash":p
anyway, i always ramble when i`m stoned man-thanks for hanging in there with me:D ... oh yeah, the light or dark question?
cheers:watchplant: :stoned: :lama:

Yeah, you seem to have everything under control. When I use the water method, I like to let the beans float on the surface. If the beans germ like this, they will have some access to air so the tap root can grow... well as long as you let it. If for some reason the beans haven't cracked on the surfac eafter 24 hours, I will fully submerge them and then within a few hours a tap root will be visible. ;)

Im a greenhouse grower, i soak the medium and put the dry seed 4-5 mm under the surface, in all my growing life ive had 100% germ.

cheers ppl.
Hippy, do you use a dome or glass, or just the greenhouse?

Yo Shuggy

This is how i do it, 100% germ.
I simply fill a grow pot after germ and transfer the shoot with all its grow medium to the pot (i scoop a shallow pit in the grow pot) no cover over the seed is needed because the greenhouse is warm.
