Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if I can use a reg. aquarium heater to heat my blubber system?
Thanks, Crossbones

sure why not...

...wait what type bubbler?...:bolt::bong:

Yes you can. I use my heater and run it all the time. Just make sure it has a build in thermostat.

I pick it up in the aquarium section and wal-mart. It keeps my homemade blubber cloner (12 gal) at 78ºF.

:rofl: Trust...that Avatar of yours reminds me of last yrs medicine bottle grow...lol...too cool

Are you sure you need a heater? Res temps are best if kept around 70F, unless this is a cloner.

One thing to ensure is that it is adequately protected from touching the plastic bubbler wall or left uncovered due vigourous bubbling.

Stainless tubed heaters are much safer, especially if you have large cichlids swimming in your res

thanks everybody for the advise.
But is there a certain temp. that is recommended for the roots?
CROSSBONES..
