This may sound like a stupid question but...is there such a thing as TOO MUCH light for the plant? I'm talking about too many lumens for the plant...Is there light poisoning or something? LOL

light poison...thats funny..thanks for the chuckle...

No i dont think theres anything wrong with more lumes..just meens tighter budds...Good luck cuy103

You can add as much as you'd like as long as you can vent the heat and keep temps ideal:).

I would think that there gets to be a point where you have diminishing returns, but I don't know what that point is...

Anyone out there running 10000 lumens per sq ft?

Too much light causes leaf bleaching.

The more light, the better. IMO, light=yield not #of plants =yield.

I don't think you can have too much light, at least with the technology available right now. No matter how much artificial light there is, it can never match the brightness of the sun.

Sure that's not just from heat stress? I've had that problem twice before, and both times it was from the light being too close. The only affected areas were those within 12-15 inches from the bulb.

Thats a nutrient or PH problem or even heat, not a light issue. If it were bleaching the plant as you say then wouldn't all the plants outside be bleached?
