Got roped into another one of the Old Hen's projects. She/we made these really unique flower pots. You take old hand towels, soak 'em in souply cement, and drape them over a pot of choice and leave 'em 'til they dry. She's bought a couple at craft sales before, but she decided to try her hand at it. We'll know in a couple of days whether it was a waste of towels and 'crete.

The split pea & ham soup turned out wonderfully. First time I used the instapot to make it, and I tweaked the recipe a bit. Stuff is good.

Did the instaPot break the peas down to like second day consistency?

Her pot project came out with mixed reviews. The soup came out fantastic. The peas virtually disappeared. Took a total of nine minutes to cook.

The Old Hen bought it and let it sit. I could see it being in the next garage sale for pennies on the dollar, so I started using it. Sure does a great job.

Too wet to get the tractor out without tearing stuff up, so I spent half an hour picking up the road. Got a full sack. A lot of two gulp liquor bottles that I figure were left behind by the Consumer's Power boys.

Only place I ever was in Texass was flat as board and drier than a popcorn fart.

I was doing a solo run on my two holer back in '94. I stayed in Moriarty NM for awhile. I was talking with a cute little waitress in a cafe one time around noon, and she asked me, "Have you noticed that it gets windy around lunch time?" I told her that I had noticed that very thing. She says, "That's 'cause Arizona blows and Texas sucks!"
