You've never had the pleasure of unloading a semi-trailer full of Owens Corning insulation. They don't use the Pink Panther in their advertising without reason. STRONG odor of cat piss. We used to call it Panther Piss.
I have worked with that enough times to kinda know what you mean. Up in hot attics laying it in sucks. Itchy and scratchy show

Just got home from the show, probably around 500 cars/trucks/motorcycles/tractors stacked in so tight you can't get a good picture. Didn't see anyone I knew so most everybody must have been from elsewhere. Didn't see some the old usual rides that show every year, I didn't see the car club that helps put on the show either. Still a good show with a big turn out. O well, I believe it is time to burn one.

I worked on a big crew once where they had an apprentice doing the insulating that day. At the end of the day, all the oldtimers told him to go home and take a hot shower and that would fix the itchy stuff.
As we left, I walked up next to him and told him to take a cold shower first and not to lather up, just let the water rinse the glass off of 'em. He says, "Yeah, I know you old fuks like to give bad advice to cubs." I smiled and said "OK" and kept walking.
He caught up to me before I climbed in the truck and asked me why he needed to take a cold shower first. I told him that if he took a hot shower, it would open up his pores and flush the glass into his skin, and that he wouldn't have a very pleasant evening or the next morning for that matter.
It must have dawned on him that I was trying to steer him right from experience and that the other guys were sitting him up for grief. He quietly thanked me the next morning.

Pardon me, ladies... butcha gots too many fingers... and arms...

Water, moccasins, and cottonmouths are the same snake with different names. We have them in abundance down here and my dogs can smell them long before they can see them…
Yep that is absolutely correct.
Also be careful because a water snake which is non poisonous looks almost identical to a Moccasin that is very poisonous.
If you know what to look for it won't be a problem.

my sweet cousins bombed my front porch with beautiful pumpkins. 42 of them actually. I’ve given a few away to the next door neighbors but still feel like sort of a target for mischief. Maybe a pumpkin pie or some pumpkin dog treats are in order this year.

Those volleyball size ones would great for pies. I cut them in half and de seed. Cut up in sections like cantaloupe. Cut rind off. Chop up into pieces, boil just like potatoes. Mash up like mashed potatoes. Use just like and same proportion as your recipe calls for with the canned stuff. Hard to believe, but it makes a much better pumpkin pie than the canned stuff. I didn't like pumpkin pie until I tried it like this.

You are right about southerners. When I first moved down here from NE, I went to the grocery store with my wife for a few things. An hour later we came out after she must have talked to everyone in there. When we left, I asked if she knew all of those people. She said no and I asked her then why were you talking to them. Just could not understand it. Now it is me being friendly and talking to everyone.
When I'm in and around Nashville, people will walk right up be talking to you. Takes me a little minute to adjust. At first your body wants to go defensive!
