Back inside after changing the rack and pinion steering on the Frankendeere. What was supposed to be a 45 minute job turned into a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

Ok, enough of the Gilligan's Island ripoff. Got rained off just as I'd almost finished up. The chuckle head from ebay sent me the wrong rack. Out of the entire kit, the only thing I used was the pinion gear. The old rack wasn't bad, and the bushings that were supposed to be nylon were originally steel, so I lubed 'em up and slapped it all back together. It worked. Steers a lot nicer, and I used a nylon bushing for the underside of the steering wheel, which apparently they'd forgotten to put on at the factory. Made a world of difference.
