Storing h20 in 5 gallon buckets

Hey guy's!!! Can I store h20 in 5 gallon buckets? How long can I keep it? Is it okay to use?

What is the purpose of the water
Plants
Drinking yourself, etc?

For plants yes and for human consumption use food grade buckets

I store water in a big garage can and 5 gallon buckets everyday where it can set for 24hrs before I water my veggies and girls.

I can not see a problem with storing it for short times but the buckets could give a clue to your grow and make it easy for others to find it.
I always like what the Moonshiners do , find a stream and run some underground sprinkler pipe from a spring to your area .

keep them out of the sun and you'll be fine as long as they're sealed...
