hi guys looks like ive finally found a good site after lots of looking please prove me right!

ive got 2 small 10" plants growing in top soil in a wardrobe using 600w flower spectrum (halogen i think)
the bottom leaves are turning yellow and dying off well i cliped them when they were dead!

i was using vertiliser every time i watered from 3/4 weeks in but stoped when i noticed this happen and have also split in to seprate pots and have vertilised once since just to get some nutriants in to the new soil

i have a PH test kit its a small bottle of blue/green liquid is this correct for testing soil? the first time i tried the soil just turned it brown so i used less soil and got the same PH as my water on its own (7) am i doing it right?

:welcome: to MP and so far everything sounds good in the grow and that yellow may not have been anything wrong with the plant if it was a slow fading yellow that IMOP jsut says that it was time for those leaves to die off, be it from light penitrarion distance or just being an early stage fan leaf. Ph sounds a bit high get a teaspoon of viniger and put that in with a gallon of water and use that to water your plant till the gallon is gone and your soil pH should go down about half a point. again :welcome: to MP looking forward to more progress reports and pictures and [thread=9396] a link [/thread] that may help out along the way :hubba:

actually now that ya mention it the dead leaves were smother than the newer leaves great!
am i checking my PH correctly? seems like im just checking water PH cause there is hardly any soil

how do i know when to start to flower should i start 12/12 to see if plants are female and if i do can i put more light on again and grow more?
