British singer Joe Cocker is dead at age 70.
His London-based agent, Barrie Marshall, said Cocker died early Monday of lung cancer in Colorado, where he has lived for the past two decades.

Honestly, I am not surprised by Joe's death. The last time I saw him, he was not well. The alcohol has getting the best of him. He was throwing up puke and blood. Very hard to see someone that self destructive, go into a down spin.

The performance 8 years ago was awesome! I was shocked at how great he did. I wasn't there, just video of the live. RIP

Saw him, about 30 years ago, damn was it that long ago ? Anyway, it was at a downtown old movie theater, with outstanding acoustics. We walked in the front doors with another couple and I told `em "come on, we gonna get the best seats in the place". Up the stairs to the balcony....front row, center, the best seats in the place. Joe Cocker was Joe Cocker that night. RIP Joe.
Another time watched Cheech and Chong from the same seats.
