Question!!! :)

I have had my plants growing now for about 3 weeks, things are looking pretty damn good I might say. Its about time I think to put them into 2 gallon pots, my only questions is, whats the total time frame I am looking at now? When I bought the seeds, this was what the website had said:

INDOOR / OUTDOOR Indoor / can be grown outdoor TYPE Indica / Sativa mix
THC very high, ~20% PLANT HEIGHT medium, 75-120cm FLOWERING TIME Weeks 8/9 HARVEST Month 8/9 YIELD Up to 450g m2 GROW DIFFICULTY Easy- Medium
Yeah, its white widow if you can tell, so 8-9 weeks of flowering? And 8-9 Months of Harvest? Is that correct? Also, when do I change my light schedule. Right now, I am doing 24 hrs of light, should I change it when I hit the harvest time?

Also, what does the "Yield" really mean? 450 grams total?

AND THE LAST QUESTION (sorry guys, im a newbie)... When do you know its harvest time???

hi there the 8/9 weeks it time they reccomend for flowering,
the 8/9 months means if they where outdoors thats when they would be rdyto harvest but its usually bit longer, and u can change the light schedule when ever ur rdy to put them in flower,also u look at the trichs to tell when it times to harvest i like to let mine go 60% amber then harvest

Flowering time means when the plant is flowering.

Your growing inside under a light, you can make the plant flower any time you want.

What makes the plant flower is giving it 12hrs of light and 12hrs of darkness, total and utter darkness with no light leaks into its dark period at all.

8-9 weeks flowering means it will take 8-9 weeks to fully mature, this often takes a week to 10 days longer than the description states.

Yield means the finished bud weight, this is if your growing in optimal perfect conditions, ignore what they say you will get, because you will never get that much.

Harest time is when the plant produces something called Trichomes, these are in the picture below, during its 8-10 weeks of flowering, the plant grows these on the outside of the buds and the surrounding leaves.

Trichomes are the only reason your growing the plant, Trichomes make you high, not the plant matter

so your saying becuase I am growing indoor, DONT worry about the 8-9 months of harvest?

I have been doing 24 hours of light, should I change that up? Its only my 3rd week into the flowering time...

True, since you are growing indoor you can control the variables regarding light.. But you say that you have only been growing them for around 3 weeks so this would mean you are in VEG stage and NOT the flowering stage..
From what I have read and been told, it is best to let your plants reach a height of at least 8" in most cases before switching to a 12/12 schedule.. My first grow is around 5" tall right now and will probably wait another week or two before I switch the lighting schedule..

How tall are your plants right now? Have any pics? I'm sure someone else will be on shortly to give you better answers as well.. Good luck growing..

Do you find the trichs using a magnifying glass and looking at the buds??

Yes I do, I also use my digi camera to take macro pictures and it shows the Trichomes close up

Some people have a hand held microscope bought from radio shack or ebay.

Some use a 30x jewellers loupe too.

Harvest month 8/9 doesn't mean it takes 8-9 months to grow. It means that month 8 (August) or 9 (September) is when it should mature outside. I think that is what confused you. It isn't the number of months.
