purple stalks

What would make stalks turn purple on 12'' clones, leaf stems are green, plant is beautiful dark green but has stlk turning purple started out just kind of vertical purple stripeing then the bottom half has turned all purple other than that the plants look great.

Usually that would be a sign of a nute deficiency. Most times for me it has lead to a Mg deficiency. But it could be any of the macro nutrients as well. Personally, I wouln't worry about it until you get some roots becuase there really isn't anything that can beneficially be done before that time. But once they root, give them lots of care and provide optimal conditions and they will be just fine.
