problem

Okay I have 5 female plants, all of which have been flowering for about a month now give or take. Except the last female which just started to finally flower yesterday when I checked it... I checked them 5 days before yesterday and it didn't even show signs of sex.... a very late bloomer.

Anyway, the plant grew about a foot in those 5 days and is taller than I'd like it to be. If I tied it up now would there be a problem with the way it flowered? It is a very healthy plant and has a pretty thick stalk. But it's almost 6 feet tall! What should I do?

Also it has dark purple streaks in it's stalk and stems, but very small buds and no crystals yet. My buddy says it's because it is a 100% Indica strain.... Is this true? None of my other females look anything like it, and are all about a foot shorter.

Is your plant getting any extra light at night? ie, streetlights? That will retard flowering, also have you been feeding it with alot of N? that ould also slow flowering. But it could also be the strain, which contrary to your friends uninformed opinion sounds to be sativa.

You can tie it down,and it will still flower, I have seen them knocked right down on teh ground, and produce a good harvest. Good luck.

The genetics of a plant are pretty much pre determined, but what do the fan leaves look like? are they long and thin or shorter and wider? and, if you do tie this down to keep it lower you shopuldn't run into any proiblems as long as you don't over do it and kink the stalk. you should be fine, also is there a strain name for your ladies or are they just bag seed? any and all info will help with your grow.

I'm going to tie it down right now... I'll get pictures and post some. They are random seeds, I feed them all the same throughout the entire grow only this 1 had the problem... It's been a week scince I last checked on it I didn't make it out there last time I tried.

No street lights or outside lighting could reach it only the sun it is in a prime spot for sun light too... It's about a a little less than 1/2 of a mile from the road, but they are building up property less than a quater mile away... There are a few small bushes (about 3.5 - 4 feet high) that offer good protection but this one plant is getting too tall now it grew about a foot in 5 days.

tying it down will not hurt it a bit T BONE said it pretty good and i doubt seriously it is true true indica at its growth im certain it is a sativa may be a mix but sativa dominate for sure , that being said its not unusual to have a late bloomer it takes some sativas longer to mature when she does watch out you can see her grow, the streaks are also normal for a lot of strains or a slight k deficiny if memory seves me right. a change to flowering nutes will most likely fix your problem and make them go to flowering heavier . nothing at all to be real worried over hope this helps

Gentally bend and tie from about 2/3rds or the way up in a bow shape. Not too much at 1st. Then in a few days a bit more.. It is possible to make a complete circle so i've heard!!

The internode branches/flowers will then get more light. I did it with one of mine and the internode branches/flower have gone mad.

Awesome thanks a ton for the info guys... This site has helped me out a ton, I appreciate it a lot. What is the best food to use during flowering? How often should I be feeding them?...

Use a good liquid fert. as it is used more quickly than a time release like MG or others. Fox Farm is good, and a slew of others, also, about three weeks before harvest, stop with the ferts and switch over to molases (sound crazy, i know) but the molases will up the density of your busd by almost 20% all while leaching your roots so when you burn it is a nice clean white/gray ash in the bowl. hope your grow goes well.

Earth juices major component is molasses......smell it.
