perlite

do they sell this at walmart? or owuld my local nursery/garden troe be the place to look first? i plan ot start my first hydro soon and im tracking down the materials now befor my HPS/MH shows up. ty. any other advice is appreciated. late

If you re planning on hydro, you will want the bigger pieces and they do not carry the bigger pieces at wal-mart. Check your local hydro store.

yes they do sell it at walmart, home depot,lowes, they are about $3.50 each not bad for a good size bag

very true, i use styro cups and poke lots of hole like chop stick size holes and they do fall in the res. im using bubbler DWC and 1.5inch rockwool. hope this helps

i was jus goin to plant it right in the perlite. is that cool? i figured it would b cuz its its prety firm stuf. (got it at my local nursery) not to get off topic...but can i use liquid plant food? jus mix lik a 1/4 does (7-8-6) into a gallon then pour that in my res? my sut-up is DIY 10g tank with a net pot fild wit perlite, and 2 10 in airstones. sry to get off lol.
