Alright MP forum. I am finally working on getting a grow set. Yes, no joke. I am sowing some seed as we speak. What am I growing? Well, I want to get some strains from some friends going, but first and foremost, I need to test a strain. I am testing some beans I got from The Doc. Supposedly, they're Lowryder 2s. However, based on the seed characteristics, I am having my doubts. So, we will know by the new year what beans I have!

So, I am starting this a little prematurely as I don't have anything to take a picture of but I am excited to get some HOMEGROWN (my kaya dance) in my blood. Hope to have some leaf :hubba: shots for you all before the weeks through!

Sounds good to me, can't wait to see the babies man. GL and keep us posted bro...

Looking forward to an insightful DLt grow! How long til lift off do you suppose? Did you order those seeds from Dr. Chronic or get them as freebies? Good luck man! :D

To make a long story short, I ordered 20 LR2s from The Doc. When the package arrived, there were 10 beans in the package labeled LR2 and 20 freebies (White Rhino x Lowryder). The Doc and I were working out the kink, but nothing ever came of it. So, if I start seeing sex with a 24/0 light schedule in 3 weeks I will be a happy camper.

As for liftoff, I presume we will have nice sprouts by this weekend. I'll keep you guys up to date for sure. ;)

That doesn't sound like to bad of a mix up lol :D I have never smoked white rhino but the cross sounds interesting! That actually makes me wonder.. Will those guys still autoflower although they have been cross breed or cross pollenated (not sure of the correct term?) If so that is pretty cool..

The cross has shown no signs of the autoflowering trait. That is why I bought the LRs... So this will be a real blow to the groin if they aren't autoflowering... But I'm sure I'll manage.

Hey DL this is great news. I was wondering when you were gonna start something. Here's some of that good old GREEN MOJO to get them babies going. :aok:

Alright, would you guys like to see these transplanted into rockwool for a DWC grow or shall we do a good ol' organic dirt grow. I am leaning towards dirt as of now, but if I get enough interest in a hydro grow, I just may do it. So, what do you say?;)

Organic Dirt has my vote....lets see you put them beasties to work :D

good luck on them-organic dirt 2 :D

u know I'm a dirt farmer...good luck with the babies

i'd have to throw in the waterwonderfulworld of hydro

OK folks. Here are the little ones. I literally just tossed these in the soil. I didn't make sure the tap root was facing down or anything... Just to see the results. After doing this, I confirmed for myself (although already believing) that pointing the tap root down while planting is the way to go.

I am using soil straight out of the bag right now. I want to say it's called BioMix? I just don't feel like going into the cold garage to read what it is right at the moment.

And for watering? Straight tap water in a spray bottle to keep the top of the soil moist. I am still waiting for one more bean to break the surface and there are two on the sufce that don't look very promising... As you may see.

Lighting? Well, I have a 12 oz. cup (not 16 oz) they are in so I simply grabbed my desk lamp with a CFL and they are sitting under that. I am planning on transplanting tonight or tomorrow and then they will be promoted to a 2' 2 bulb T5 system (6,500K).

Other than that, we are just coasting. Not really worrying about the temp or humidity yet... I believe they are around 70* F. The cup was on my external hard drive that I had spinning for two days to keep it warm rather than using a heating mat for one solo cup.

Alright, I'm done. :ccc:

Nope. :D I found some of my last harvest today! Just enough to roll a little spliff with! Yay!

That's the way I do it, DLt... no fancy setups, heating elements, humidity control, temp control... nothing. the way I figure it, if it's gunna grow, it is; if not.... well... who gives a flying f***? I sure as hell don't.... this is a hobby, not a career.......

You just gave me a good idea for a thread?

Lets see what happens with this. I have always wondered if there is a difference between strain seeds...........
