the thing i dont like about growing in dirt is... when U have yellow leaves like that its ether NOT geting enough nutes... or its geting 2 much and buring the plant... small plants in dirt with furt in it usualy get burned at the start cuz there so small... but what sucks about dirt is... U get yellow leaves... so U add fert... burn the plants even more.. so then U try ta water tha dirt to wash the furts out.. seams like just such a pain.. also by tha time U get tha furts rite and the plants going good Uve already put so much stress on the plant its likely to be a M... i tryed dirt for my first grow and it was so frustrating i just threw everything away and started over in hydro.. ill never try dirt agin

hydro isn't ideal for a start grower because with 20 bucks go to wal mart and get a small thing of soil and a single pot and water tray drain catcher and some cfl's and hanging lights and have myself on my way.

Hydro you have to build stuff and shell out enough cash to start it up. It makes sense that a begininer would go for the soil over hydro.

yea thats true Draston.. thats the reason i used dirt first 2.. i didnt think about that...

when i switched to hydro i tryed to make it really cheap also.. wasnt 2 bad... i had 15$ in a water pump... bout 10 maby in some hose.. made a trey 4 free... and had maby 20$ in a cpl dif sizes of rockwool cubes... so thats about 50 bucks or so.... but they nutes for hydro are what kills you... i think i spent like 75$ on my nutes..

so yea dirt is def a better startup for cheap.. good call
