My plants are 2 MONTHS OLD and all about one foot tall...I figure there is not enough light. Moved 'em to a better spot a couple weeks ago and it seems to be better but what is making these plants so puny? They are also all still growing 3-fingered leaves which doesn't seem normal to me, but who knows with bagseed and walmart soil. Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated.

1 seed per pot.

Quality un nutriented soil with no feed additives already in it.

Is that a paint pot you have them in?

How much daylight are they getting?

How often do they get watered?

Have you given them any feed?

They were all originally in the ground but I transplanted into that 5 gal bucket and relocated for security reasons under short notice and the bucket was all I could find suitable(did not have time to dig new holes). Soil is a 3 month feed kind(Expert Grow brand?) though it is not MG dont know if that makes any difference, also added in a little bit of peat moss. Daylight is about 10 hrs although mostly not direct sunlight. I just realized the watering might have been holding them back as well due to the excess rain we have had i doubt if i have watered them more than 3 times. as for the feeding I did use superthrive once but stopped didnt wanna harm 'em.

Pre nutrient soil is pre nutrient soil, it doesnt matter what make/name it has.

It is bad for MJ.

Have you got holes in the bottom of the bucket?

Did you damage any roots when you dug them up?

:peace:

the root system remained pretty intact and
the bucket is holeless.wasnt sure if that was necessary .would it be alright to drill some on the corner since directly on the bottom would be difficult?

If you have no holes then the roots are starved of oxygen and growth will become nil.

They are drowning.

Holes in the bottom.

Lay the bucket on its side, dont worry if anything falls out, you can put it back in again.

BIG holes.

You are doing everything wrong.
1. Each needs its own pot. With proper drain holes.
2. That 'soil' is not soil it is reconstituted crap. Either use proper soil or try coco coir, works very well.
3. Daylight 10 hours? Your plants need to veg and 10 hours is putting them into suspended animation - it's flowering hours but your plants are too small so they are 'stuck'.

i realize they are small but i didnt think the size mattered when its time to flower?(which should be happening pretty soon based on the decrease in light hours over the past few weeks)

NO place in the northern hemi'(where light is decreasing now) is getting a measily 10 hours of daylight.

They need/want direct sunshine....and the more the merrier. Looks like you're 'probably' over watering too, especially with 0 drainage.

according to weather.com looks like im gettin more like 14hrs of daylight...i wasnt thinking in terms of the sky still being light rather my grow spot. anyways I have drilled some holes on the bottom so there shouldnt be any risk of drowning or lack of oxygen. Could/should i lst them at this point?
