Hi everyone. I'm glad I found this place. I have tons of research to do and I stumbled upon a goldmine full of knowledge.
I'm going to try and figure out how much space is optimal for a 1000 watt mps conversion bulb. I have the bulb and will have the ballast and reflector next week. If anybody has any suggestions on room size for my bulb feel free to drop me a line.
Anyways, glad to be a member.

Hey Joejoe..welcome my friend...If you are doing research then this is the right site 4U..be sure to read the site rules and start with resources tab..Then post your questions in the proper forum...thanks for beeing here joejoe...I run a 1000watt in a 4x6 room...when you get your light and Ballast it will tell you how many lumes it puts out..ultimatly you want 5000 lumes per square foot...hope this helps my friend

:welcome: to MP man, your right you found the right place to be for any growing related info man have a look around and see what you can dig up if you get stuck along the way just post a thread and someone will be more then willing to add consult or advice :) oh and IMO with a 1000W light they generally put out 140 thousand lumen devide by 5 and wow man thats a huge grow area ;) easily fit it in a 5 ft x 5 ft area with no problems. any ideas of ventilation?

Thanks for the advice. I have the bulb already. A 940w Hortilux HPS conversion lamp. Ultra Ace conversion lamps are HPS lamps that operate on Metal Halide systems. Transforms a one-dimensional Metal Halide lighting system into a complete growing system. Provides optimum Red spectral energy required for flowering.
Initial Lumens: 130,000
As for ventilation and all the other equipment, thats all still in the works. I was hoping that I could research and do it right the first time. I love gathering information but I also would respect any hints or equipment advice. I have the above mentioned bulb and the space for it. Now I got to figure out the rest.

Welcome to MP. Glad to have ya here and hope to see ya around. Enjoy the site! ;)
