Just thought I'd introduce myself... I'm 53 and live in the Orlando area. After fantasizing about it for literally decades, I'm finally growing my first few plants. I'm probably about three weeks from harvest and am on pins and needles. This might be the best hobby ever!

I'll try to post photos another time. In the meantime, let me share the basics. I have a 450 watt switchable light system. I'm using Millenium seeds (primarily Indica) that I got from Dr. Greenthumb and am growing three plants hydroponically with a straightforward five gallon pail system.

I'm growing in a closet and was completely unprepared for the size of the plants. One plant is a about three feet tall, the other two are over four feet. They're all reasonably healthy and, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I'm probably about three weeks away from harvest. All three plants have buds but they seem to have stopped growing as quickly over the past week or so. This whole thing is so amazing to me, the idea of being self-sufficient weed-wise such a fantasy, that I think I'm paranoid that something is going to go wrong. But so far, so good.

.. they should start "fattening" up now. Not much upward growth, but watch the "girth"..
