new growth-small and folded?

hey all,my problem now is that my new growth on my biggest plant is shrinking. the leaves are emerging with "v" leaves and very small.
need some help here, sharpish.

all the leaves are curling up, not at the tips but all round the complete leaf, on every finger. no discolouration.each finger is folding in half at the main vein on each,upwards. HELP!:48:

sounds like you need to raise the light a couple inches

400w hps, and it allready is at 30",maybe i should lower the light? things are looking better now anyway,

yeah, i can let my 400 hps get within 12-13" before it starts to burn or my leafs start doing funny things, but my hood is vented.

I guess the distance wouldn't matter if your light is not vented and putting out to much heat. test how hot it is under light.

do you have a hotspot under your light? for some reason one of my plants grew perfect and the other no matter what i did, grew with some leaves perfect and others just curling randomly. this plant grew incredibly fast and bushy though. it just went in flower this week. i tried many things thinking the plant was reacting to what i was providing it. the only thing environmentally different was i noticed that if i put my hand under the light it was definetly brighter uner that plant than the other right on the cola.

its healthy as can be though so ???? it could just be genetics?
if hydro your plants roots could be 02 deprived as well (over watering occurrs)

yeah man, i`ll bring it down a couple of inches each day, untill i get to about the 18" mark,
