Ha, yea sorry I was unclear, I tend to do that... Yea, what they advertise is probably close to correct, most boxes could probably handle 8 plants that have been vegetated for a bit, but holding 32 plants is a bit of a stretch. These boxes can probably fit quite a bit more plants than 8 however, if grown in a sea of green style grow.
Most plants need about 6 weeks to reach sexual maturity before you can flower them when grown from seed. After a plant is flowered, many strains can grow 2 to 3 times in additional height, so this process, starting from seed, would create plants which would most likely outgrow your growbox. The thing to do would be to start a mother plant and take clones. Since clones are the same age as their mother plant, you can take clones from a sexually mature mother plants and the smaller clones will be sexually mature and ready to flower, yet can still be kept a managable size to grow in your growbox. There are other options to this, like usuing autoflowering plants or plants the can have forced flowering, as witht these you can start from seed and still have plants with manageable heights for growboxes.
If you are looking for a growbox, IMO, it would be good to look for one with two chambers, one chamber for cuttings and a mother plant (which you can start from seed, cause I know you are starting from scratch) and a chamber for flowering. This will give you the most flexibility in your grows.
