Hey everybody I'd like you to meet my new additions to the family. Only 3 out of the 6 seeds sprouted so far, actually seen a fourth just comin out of the soil a lil bit. They are only in week one so nothing to exciting as of yet. They were planted in some foxfarm soil with a little bit of perlite added. I like to use flouros for the 1st 2 weeks. In my opinion it helps the plants root system become nice n healthy as the growth process is slower with flouros, I think. I'm not to sure how much truth is to that but it works for me. After 2 weeks they will get a 250w mh for the rest of the veg cycle. Also after 2 weeks is when they get their 1st dose of nutes otherwise its plain water up till then. Temps range from 75 at night to about 78 during the day. Im going to keep a journal of the whole grow for this will be my 1st attempt at topping and I want other people to enjoy my hobby as much as I do. So keep watching far more is yet to come.

Looks like your off to a great start. Here's some GREEN MOJO for them babies. ;) Good luck on the grow we'll be following along.

The deal with root growth and light is simple. Assuming that your setup offers good nutrition, good light, the right amount of water, and let us not forget airation, your roots will grow like wild fire. Take away any of these and you got problems. Like TGB said, "Sounds like your off to a good start. Here is the rest of that GREEN MOJO for ya

Thanx guys. I've got a question for anybody willing to answer. Like I said before I'll be using AN sensi grow for my veg, what else is available out there that plants can really benefit from during the veg cycle? I don't want to sound like a complete idiot I know there is stuff out there I would just like to know what you guys use during your veg? What works the best for you?

Well I feel so stupid. My plants were about 18in away from the light and so slow to grow. I forgot I had some temperd glass so I put that in the hood and now the plants tops are sitting 6-8in away from the light. And my temp is at a steady 78 degrees. And all I can say is WOW. The plants aare loving all their new light. Even just over night they showed fantastic results. I will get pics up as soon as I can.

Good luck with your grow man! If you are still using fluoros, you can drop them very close to the tops of the plants with no issues. It helps to have a fan going under the light to wisp that hot air away though.;)
