Mother clone lighting..

could someone please explain the whole "mother plant" thing ??? how do you keep it small and how much light and at what cycle do they need ? i would like to start a mother but don't understand how to keep the size down with out flowering...

when i keep a mother plant i cut the tallest parts for clones to keep her short leavin partial branches below my cut for new growth. hope this helps..

uh if u want to keep the top, you can pinch it, its safe, but dont rip it off

it will tell plant to put enegery in the stems and grow thicker stems, make it shorter or stop their stunt grow you can pinch the second one below the top

thats what I do to those stunt growth.., but to keep mother out of flowering you need to put mother on 24, and if its hid light u are using keep it 2 ft from the light, if you using cfl, or flours. light, keep the mother 2 inch from the light ... cut the top will be big effective and bushy than to have it makin it taller..

I am a little confused slomo. What do you mean by the tallest parts, and how do you leave partial branches for new growth?

i will cut the top as a clone, then the longest branches leavin a couple of nodes below my cut (not cuttin it off at the main stalk) so it has some where for new growth to form. i like a branch with more than 5 nodes, from the top of the branch i cut to the 4th node and leave the 5th. if that makes sense to ya. i bearly understand it. lol

by removein the top and longest branches it stays short longer. by the time its grown out and gettin taller i take more cuttings and she's short again.. hope this explains it
