I have been told and belive that one of the major things that makes outdoor so much better then indoor is the moonlight. I am not so sure that the moonlight is providing enough lumens or energy to cause growth, instead it is more of a magical mysterious unexplainable reason, im not sure but I know plants look wonderful in bright moonlight.

the moon doesnt actually give off light itself.. it is reflected light from the sun that comes back to us.. so i dont think that the moon is puttin off lumens.. i could b wrong but if i am some1 will correct me

Flaboy, you are correct. Any perceived benefit from being outside has nothing to do with moonlight.

i was hoping some1 like THG would give her input.. i have takin in alot of knowledge about growin thru THG.. thanks goddess.. im no where near the grower u are yet but it def helps when i hear from ppl like yourself that the info im bringing is valid.. thanks again nd happy growin

:bongin: I said in my post I did not think the moon gave off lumens to supply photosynthesis, but rather the light that is being reflected off the moon that the plants are able to see does have an effect on processes within the plant. The person who told me this owns multiple farms and dispensaries in california and participates in the emerald cup. I will have to test the theory one day by covering half a crop every night and side by side the smoke.

flaboy888, of course moonlight is reflected sunlight, thats where im getting at. If you ever read up on the Toltec civilization or just think about it sunlight transmits information, and moonlight is reflected sunlight, therefore a plant indoors that is 12/12 with bulbs, will not have had the same amount of cosmic, universal, or shall we say natural light that the same plant would have had outdoors. Again its not fueling "Growth" in the physical sense that can be measured, rather a spiritual growth which is only measured through feeling:) This might be a good reason the moon reflects light to the earth ;) IMHO Irie

Interesting theorys thc regulator. I do know one thing for sure though you just can't beat cronic outdoor herbs, got to love the sun.

can moon light cause hermies? its week, but constant.

No it can't. Light from a full moon is less than .1 lumens p/sf. Insufficient light to have any effect on plants.
