so ive been doing some research and asking questions about my sick kids, and it seems i probably have a manganese deficiency. (yellowing inside of leaves, occasional necrotic spots, veins and outside of leaves look fine) Due to nuit lock from the PH of my water/solu. (nuits are 20-20-20)

so the question is: are there any practical ways of balancing PH without flushing the whole system.

i have an unlimited supply of triple RO filtered water from work (THE coffee shop) so its not really a huge problem...i know i have to get a ph kit, but im a little foggy on which nuit ratios i should be going for at which time in the plants life

i don't think that a Manganese would every be the first deficiecy to show, it sounds a lot more like magnesium

5.5-5.8

I grabbed a digital PH waterproof meter for $80, now i know the exact ph of my solution.

..."Mg"..."manganese"..:confused2: ..two different micronutrients all together..the symptoms you describe are 'mg'. magnesium related. Most of your "commercial" nutrients, fertilizers contain no mg. (magnesium)

If you have bronzing your need to raise your pH a little. Mg can only be used by the plant from 6.8+ in soil and 5.8+ in hydro. I grow hydro so I let me res pH drift from 5.6-6.1 before bringing it back down to 5.6 again. This allows all my macro and micro nutrients to be available for uptake.

how do you adjust the ph so readily? are you using anything special, or just flushing with more ph balanced water

i use PH up and PH down...It took me a while to figure out the drops with my H2O..but have them dialed in now..:lama:
