Is it safe to put 2-1000 watt light's on a 20amp circuit?

I have the yellow simpull romex and it's 12-3 with ground
hooked to 2-20amp breaker's.The breaker's are sharing the wire.
Right now i have a 1000 watt light plugged in one 20amp plug
and another 1000watt in another 20amp plug.

Basically i have a 20amp breaker for each 20amp plug.

oh yes... provided the breakers are on different phases... if you put them on the same phase, you wouldn't be able to turn them both on at the same time anyways... (I'm assuming they are sharing the neutral)

a 15A breaker will handle a load of 2450W safely (80% rule), so in essence, you only need a single 15A circuit to run the two lights, but you are better off with the 12gauge wire, non-the-less (line loss).

Thank's for your reply crazy,

I have a 60amp subpanel with 2-20amp breaker's in it for now
and the plug's are sharing a neutral.Would'nt 2 1000 watters
be 18 amp's?
