I bought some light timers and i am not sure how to use them. (prolly just to high), They are called INTERMATIC, 15 Amp, They have 4 trippers,2 green, 2 red. OK, do i just put a green in 'time on' slot, and a red in 'time off' slot? Where do the other 2 go? Are they just extras'? Also, they are 2-prong. Will it hurt my 400W HPS to add a conversion plug(3-prong to a 2-prong?

Yes you are right green on red off, and other 2 are extras, and no it wont hurt to use the 2 prong, just get pliers and rip off the ground..

^^Sounds right to me but you should probably read the instructions. Also, the ground is there for a reason and you may want to consider carefully before you rip the ground prong off of the plug. They sell timers that have the 3 prong plug-ins. You may want to buy one of those instead of ripping the ground prong off. Probably safer, you know? Better safe than sorry my friend. Keep us posted. Take care and be safe.

dont rip your gound off your HPS, they make converters, which you just have to attached the wire ground to smothing. Play around with the timer with a lamp, youll figure it out in no time.

i thought he was talking about the timer, my bad.....
