I been growing a plant outdoors since june. The plant is healthy and has been flowering since early to mid july. The lovely lady is doing wonderfully but i have to move in two days. Should I harvest (it looks tasty already) or attempt a transplant at this late stage in th game?

thanks for the help

It appears to be Indy prevelant...this late in the game if you have to go...dig and bring:D It's way past the point of no return:rolleyes:

Do what you feel is right...I would let it finish in your move...stress will not affect it at this point;)

i would just leave it and come back for it later when bout harvest time.
if ya only able to go to it once if it too far away then i'd say ya got at least a good 4 weeks at least maybe 3 idk some strains flower longer some shorter. is it hybrid, sat dominant indi dominant? etc etc all these have big impact of how it flowers, grows etc...
but ifn ya situation i'd pick a day 3-4 weeks from now an road trip back an grab it no matter how mature it is. i mean thatd be better than diggin her up and tryin to keep her full term and transport her an all that good stuff. possible stress could set her back more longer even coupel weeks or more . or even kill her...
but its ur call really.
hows ya skills on transplanting etc?

Looks great! Depends on your circumstance. Appears to already have amber hairs and I am sure it would be a nice head high. If you can let it grow for another 3-4 weeks that would be cool and probably close to double the amount you are now seeing, but don't jeopardize your livelihood;)

Personally i would pull and harvest in 2-3 weeks before attempting a newbie transplant this late in the game

...my amateur 2 cents worth;)

Just how big is this plant? It really affects the decision. If it was mine and it was 4 feet or less, I would dig up enough of a root ball to fit in a 12 gallon pot, filled with the best potting soil you can find with some guano in the soil. I would leave it in the pot until done. Water with some kelp each time it needs it and shade it from hot mid day sun for a week. I am assuming you can't leave it at your present location?

Well, it's been dug up, potted, fertilized and moved. Keeping out of the hot sun and hoping for the best.

thanks for all the help!

thats what I would have done too! dont want the new people living there to chop it up when they move in. just baby her. maybe put her in partial shade/sun in the beginning.

Well it's been about a week since I transplanted her. I've kept her in limited sun, geting most of its rays in the morning. The flowers are all looking good; havent changed much throughout the transplanting.

The big shade leaves are looking pretty droopy (like they would at night) and some of the lower leaves are dying a bit. Should I go ahead and trim these off or should I sit back and play it kewl?

thanks,

Good luck, don't hit it to hard with nutes.try straight water for a while so you know she's responding.once this fan leaves perk back give her the full sun..
Stay cool

hello hydro.:) ...

i recently transplanted 4 girls , in flower. it's been 3 weeks ago. they are in pots now, so i can move around if need be. i dug them up because of the cool, wet weather we were having...

i had them inside under a 400w hps for 2 weeks, til weather became friendlier, then put them back out, only this time, in thier pots...

they went through about 10 days of shock, then continued on blooming in a big way.:D  ...

they went so far ahead of the plants that were left out, it's unreal...

got any pics of her in her new digs?:hubba: ...Irish...

I went ahead and pruined some of the fan leaves that werent doing too well. The plant is now potted so I can move it around a bit and it seems to be doing well one week into the transplant. Starting to notice some new growth and the edges of the top leaves are turning purple. Hope for the best!
