k2 question

hi guys
i have a question about growing k2....
i've red somewhere that k2 must be 60cm (about 25")
before force 12\12, it sounds strange cause i usually start flowering @ about 12" high.
is someone has an experience in growing k2 and have a few tips for me?

You don't go by height to determine when to flower.
Wait until the plant is sexually mature at least. This means waiting until the plant exhibits alternating nodes, which usually occurs from 30--45 days after planting.

but what exactly is "alternating nodes"?

Alternating nodes are when branches are not straight across from each other any more. they start out sraight across from each other. I hope I made it clear enough.
