A double gorgeous clear day here starting at 40F and predicted to reach 62F.

Well shit! Our Ford EV won't take a full charge after 11 years and 55K miles. I will be taking it into the dealership to find out why. Worst case it is the main battery, which looks to be about $10/12K.

The only other maintenance on the vehicle has been tires and replacing the horn wiring at $700. Because it uses dynamic braking, it still even has the original brake pads. The vehicle is still in mint condition otherwise, and I'm inclined to replace the batteries, if necessary, rather than the vehicle.

Back in the 80's, I attended an electronics school, and learned about Ohm's law, building circuits, etc. but I was wild back then and moved on to the next thing. Years later, after working as a cylinder head specialist, I got a job as an electrical wiring technician.

All of a sudden, that Ohm's law studies came into play. We were building switchgear for power companies - which is like a breaker box, but it is the size of your house, lol. We're talking high voltage, like 50,000 volts and higher (depending on the customer specs). I enjoyed the work, but had to switch jobs because of life circumstances.

Love this job. My one year anniversary was a couple weeks ago.
No more fighting traffic or working out of town for weeks at a time.

Yep I know that pain I used to live in Piper City, IL and commuted to Downers Grove,IL. It sucked if we got snow, but I was never late. I would get up a few hours early and sit and wait for a snow plow to ho by, then follow him all the way yo the Highway. Took 1- to 11/2 hours in good weather. I has a coworker that lived in DG and couldn't get there on time. One time she tried to take a snow day. The boss looked at me, looked then said Janet is here and she lives hours awsy. I don't care if you have to walk. Get your ass in here! Then he hung up on her. Needless to say she wasn't happy.

I'm sure that Elon has considered the after market battery replacements but wonder if he has had time to explore it for designs besides his own. I'm blown away by how many significant balls he keeps in the air at the same time.

I read it was composed of German Gothic Font

Remembering some of the old SNL skits, and one featured Gilda Radner as a news caster that always messed up the report she was reading.

There was a segment where she started out, "Lesbian forces invaded Pakistan today, but what I don't understand is why a bunch of lesbians would want to dress up in Army uniforms and go to war?" Then the producer cuts in and says, "That's Lebanese, not lesbian!" and she says, "Oh, well... never mind!"

Used to love SNL. I remember that it was Jane Curtain that would set her straight. First time I ever heard the word "B itch" on the airwaves.
