Good morning Islanders!
Another gorgeous day here, starting at 55F and predicted to reach 85F.
The housekeepers left a note that our vacuum cleaner died, so I checked it out and ordered the cord and switch assembly to fix it.
Breakfast out with Graywolf and a friend this morning, but nothing else on the calendar.
I discovered one downside to using Alaskan Fish Fertilizer, is that it draws green flies. Not a problem in the back yard, but they are too close to the door in the rear courtyard, so I may switch to conventional fertilizer.

woke up to severe lightning and thunderstorms about 4:30 also a low pressure system….guess who woke up with a headache?
4 cups o coffee and I’m feeling better
was supposed to drive 100 miles over to Kansas for a hearing test but I will scrub that
it is shaping up to be a slow day on the prairie

green flies are not good the same thing happened when Mr Subbie started taking those fish pills. I had to talk to his doc as the green flies were hanging around our bedroom

We have an Oreck XL9200 that one of our housekeepers picked up for us at an estate sale for $8.00, to replace the fancy larger one that we had which they didn't like and we donated to Goodwill.
Grayfox and I are both happy with it and more importantly, the ladies who use it the most like it, so I'm glad to be the masterful handy hero who keeps it going for them.
Yeah, besides fly spots, the other problem with Green Flies is the other insalubrious places they have been.
Interestingly, both Melissa and Miss Layla are both attracted to the smell as well. Layla sometimes licks the watering bucket after I've fed the plants.

Morning. I lucked out. Redrocks Amphitheatre got pounded with hail during a concert last night. 2"hail and lots if it. Over 100 people injured some had to go to the hospital. I only live minutes away. Roofs and cars suffered major damage. Luckily my garden is still standing.
