You should try getting some from a friend or something? do you know anyone else that grows? tell your buddies to save the seeds if they smoke...

It was shipped to me in a little tiny ziplock pouch placed between two pages (glued together) of a British food catalog, which was placed inside a bubble mailer. Perhaps an extreme temperature?

It's entirely possible it was me lol, but having 9 seeds fail to grow, versus before when I had 5 bag seeds and had them all grow without a problem leads me to believe I didn't goof up (and I actually took care of em this time lol)

Anyway, heres some updated photos. I've decided to name my new strain "Merrick" for John Merrick (aka the Elephant Man.)

You may want to make sterile soil with peat and vermiculite, you can remove the seedlings from the dog run soil and it will stimulate root growth to transplant. A good acid loving plant nute for veg. You should invest in good lights, metal halide for veg and high pressure sodium for flowering 500 watt (2x250) would work great in that sized space with two lamps. they and the ballast will provide the heat you need.

hahahaahaha Well if you've had plants before and they have done fine, im sure it probably wasn't you. But like CJhitt said, you should try some good soil this next time. There may have been something in the soil (besides the dog poo haha) that stunted growth

Also some B1 is a good rooting compound, I use it all the time on my seedlings and my clones.

lmao...i think ur poo is too hot for ur seedlings...lol. seriously if ur goin 2 use dog crap it should @ least b composted 1st. imo i wouldnt use crap from animals that eat meat. to risky 4 disease.

Your absolutely correct. any type of feces, or manure for that fact should be mixed first in a compost pile and let to set and break down. I think this is probably what is messing up tha plants. You gotta think, everything that came out your dogs but is now in your soil. Gross. I mean would you put your won in there too and wanna smoke it? But anyways the waste must be composted for atleast a couple months first to kill off and break down bacteria. Feces is toxic in its pure form, wouldnt wanna go eat your crap or anything would ya. I like your style in trying to get the nutrients from the waste, but yeah man try some cow manure from a store or something. and like it was said before, if your gonna use a manure or anything of that sort try to get it from meat feed animals.

Also on another note i think i have two plants similar to your "down sydromed" plant.lol I just call them two, the special ed kids.I know thats mean but they know daddy loves them. One grows leaves that sometimes dont develop all the way so you have a half leaf, or a two peice leaf, or on the third node the leaf to the right is a half inch and the one of the other sides is about 5 or 6 inches long very unproportionate, but the healthiest of the four and the fastest growing. Its just some bagseed, i say if its still growing keep goin. Good luck to ya man

DUDE!!!!!! ALUMINUM FOIL IS NOT GOOD!!!! hahahaha Go get some flat white paint or some mylar.... hahahaha Your losing light and creating hot spots with aluminum foil... ALSO! your soil looks so dense, try getting some perlite and adding it to your mix first. It'll help the roots breathe.

the first 3 plants have something seriously wrong, but then i also noticed what LOOKS like some new growth (thats somewhat helathy). its the second picture and it looks like its trying to come out and pose for the camera.

Flush em out. Then give em a light dose of B1. Then continue on a light dose of nutrients and slowly increase the strength.

on bluealiens note! i had a plant as well that i had cloned and done a terrible job on! (i still do a terrible job to this day, im just not good at it...) But this sucker coulda been planted in my front yard and no one woulda known what it was! hahahaha Im serious, im pretty sure you guys wouldn't have even known. The whole plant for the first 2 months had 1 finger for each leaf. and it wasn't very ribbed at all. GREEN!!!! but man! it did not look like a MJ plant!

And i've had plants that look like the first 3 before. Im telling you! Flush! do a GOOD FLUSH! let her dry, and start with some mild B1. Then continue on your merry way! BUT FIRST THE PERLITE! ( i dont think thats spelt right by the way)

On the foil thing... where can I pick up flat mylar? I dont wanna have to split open a balloon or anything lol.

and its not 3 plants that are messed up, its just 3 photos of 1 plant. The non-messed up one is 2 photos of that plant. So two different plants in total.

Hi Relicbane,

you arent doing anything wrong mate,that plant is just a duffer,a bit of a runt.But keep goin with it as it may straighten out with subsequent growth and still go on to produce good bud.

Don't worry about aluminium foil on your grow walls,nothing wrong with it at all and it most certainly does not cause 'hot spots',that's just a myth perpetuated by hearsay.

It's not the best refelective surface,flat white pain is better but its still fine.

okay, not to argue with you rockster so no disrespect but the hotspot thing is not a myth. It is also one of the worst reflective materials. NOT SAYING ITS WRONG! but the conditions would be a whole lot better. In all honesty aluminum foil is junk. its used for keeping your sandwhiches hot or cold and for cooking.

This is a quote out of jorge cervantes indoor grow bible...

"Aluminum Foil is one of the worst reflective surfaces possible. It always crinkles up, reflecting light in the wrong direction, actually wasting light... it also reflects more ultraviolet rays then other surfaces, which are harmful to chloroplast in leaves."

here is the reflective chart.

foylon - 94-95%
Reflective mylar - 90 - 95%
flat white paint - 85 - 93%
semi gloss white - 75 - 80%
flat yellow - 70 - 80%
Aluminum foil - 70 - 75%

Again no disrespect towards you. there was whole thread about reflective materials you should read about. its very interesting information.

and also, no one ever said that he is doing anything wrong. Some of the conditions COULD be better.

again. peralite in his soil would increase the oxygen to the roots which will be extremely helpful to a plant. NOT WRONG WITHOUT IT! BUT BETTER CONDITION!

and you can order reflective mylar online from a hydro store, or if you have a hydro store in your area, they often carry it. I dont use reflective material at all, when i did i used the mylar. My plants probably would be whole lot better off with the mylar however.

Anyhow, thats my opinion on the situation. hope it helps!

Well... time for an update

(professor farnsworth voice) Good news everyone! Two girls!

Been in flowering for about a week now, and they're both girls, which I was not expecting... nor did I have room for lol. I'll be damned if I toss out a perfectly good primo strain plant because of space issues... so I built a new area for the other one.

The franken-widow is doing just fine, and actually has a few leaves that looks like a pot plant. I posted a few photos... its pretty obvious which one is which (the gnarly, jacked-up lookin' one is the white widow for anyone new to this thread)

The silver haze is good too, its pretty tall though. Having some problems with it too... I've posted some pictures of it. At first glace I think its a nitrogen deficiency based on other pictures I've looked at, but I've been using a 24-8-16 fertilizer weekly as directed (actually the last one was about 2x the recommended amount... I think... it calls for such a tiny amount...) and it still looks funky. Its only affects the bottom half of the plant. Its not too bad... just, not as good as it should be you know? Anyway I want to get this problem solved before I get too much further into flowering.... I just fed the plants a new fertilizer today (15-30-15)

I dunno.. what do you guys think?

(again... the white widow is the weird looking one.. its ok. The plant with the problem is the silver haze, should be obvious which is which)

franken-widow is doing ok... I moved her to a larger pot right before I put them into flowering, she is still not happy (recovering from the move I'm sure)

I had the same problem as you though... I had 10 seeds, and they all failed except this one messed up-lookin thing. I kinda wondered if something happened during shipping (extreme temperatures or something maybe?) its possible you have the same problem on your hands.

well so far i'm syill new to indoor till i get it down i'm just using bag seeds and i ve had over 50 % success with them only [problem is its beenthe seeds from mexican ctpiss or other bad **** lol i have a fruit loop and two christmas tree skunks working now fruit loop in shock and xmas skunks just growing realy slow ok i made up these name obviously but thats how to best decribe them the friut loop taste just like fruit loops and the xmas smells like a sk=unk and taste like a pine tree but both realy good good luck bro
