Something like that. I set up a fake perfume company, it seemed the most likely type of firm to be buying exotic chemicals. I had a ton of lab equipment. Then I toured the chemical factors in Newcastle, which is full of them. But in the end for some reason there were a couple of critical items we couldn't find. So then we decided to make THC. A much less complicated reaction. But I couldn't get one item: Olivetol. It was only available from the USA. One of the factors said they could order it, but the cost was prohibitive. I wonder what it costs now... you can directly synthesise THC 8 or 9 or CBD from it.

I'm thinking... well you already guessed didn't you? Why bother with all the nuisance refining herb... why not just make pure THC and CBD.
