I'm lookin over a 4 leafed reefer

Allright I was in my shack tonight and was going to do some lst on my cinderlla 99 x AK47 when I noticed that one of them has 4 leafs at the 4th node. I can't remember ever seeing this. So I want to hear from ya'll how common is this. I should have 4 branches comming from here then also? And what do you think would happen if I topped it here, or fimmed it. It's in its 4th week of veg and they are growing slow, looks like I'm going to veg them at least 6 wks, maybe 8. I know I've seen on this site about the 3 leafed on seedlings ya'll had a funny name for I can't remember, and I think it was hippy in England that said like 90% of those are male, so with my luck this one will probably have sacks. Man I hope not though! So let me hear who has had them like this, oppinions on leaving it alone, topping, fimming etc. I know ya'll want pics, but I still haven't learned how to do it yet. I still don't even have an Avatar yet, my 16 yr old said she was going to help last weekend to try and turn me into a high-tech redneck, but she didn't, too busy with her boyfriend...imagine that!

well yup we want some pics bro lol! u have to download picasa so u can upload the pics on here! its real easy! so download that and then put ur pics on ur comp from ur camera and then go to manage attatchments down below when u reply and upload them! go to picasa first and export them and rememmber wat file u saved them in so when u go to upload it! i had a 3 leafer but then it turned into a 5 leafer! im sure its fine just veg her out and top her! try to get some pics up!

Thankx Zip, That was alot of help, and I'm glad someone else did all the googling for me. So I'm probably going to have a male or a herm there. I can accept that. The C99 is known for not herming, but then I'm not running a pure c-99 either sooo. I will go ahead and take 2 clones from it, like I'm going to do with all 10 of them, so that I can keep the genetics of the one I like the best. If it turns out male or hermie, it and it's clones go to compost. I think I will just treat it as any other plant, only I may add a little extra stress to it to be sure that it's not going to hermi. I will also keep the best male secluded for pollen just in case I need it in the future. It must not be that rare though if you had one in july, and I've got one in Oct. I have never noticed one before is all. But then this is only my 4th indoor grow. Outdoors for years, but with them we don't have the time to get as intimate, I may have had one over the years and just never noticed it. Thanks Zip that was a big help! If my kid ever comes over here and gives me a hand I will post some pics, until then finding files, attatchments, exporting, downloading will all be a mystry to me...I am seriously computer challenged. Maybe I just need to go take a computer 101 class at the community college; since my daughter is too busy with that douchbag she calls a boyfriend.

i read on one the seed sites online of a strain, cant recall which one, but it said it had the tetra quadraploid trait in its genetic makeup :confused2: i wouldnt judge it he she watever it is just yet. ya never know.

Thanks Albino Danko! I appriciate the help, I guess I'm more scared of screwing up my computer messing around with things I know nothing about, my kid says I can't hurt it, and to try, but I'm just really nervous and new with a computer. I'm glad I finally got one though, for years I said I don't need that crap..mans got by forever without it why do i need it, i was the same with cell phones , now I can't live without it. I'll get it figured out eventually, it's just all new to me. Thank you though for trying to help!

I don't know if anyone cares or not but this freak has 4 sets on the 5th node now also and it's got 4 branches at the 4th node, where the first set of 4 leaves were. I know I know...I got to get this computer phobia fixed, and try to post some pics. The plant looks to be the healthiest one of the 10...probably a male. I hate starting from seeds...why can't I just have clones already! Patience sucks!

thats usually how MJ grows bud. a bud for every fan at node i do believe. hence 4 leafs per node = 4 buds per node, or if let veg lot longer them would be bud sites wit extend on to be branches as well hence 4 branches at each node as well...
i veg short so that why my whorled freaks were mainly just buds at the nodes but im sure if i let em veg lot longer them wouldaa been smaller branches as well.

lol...I know that is how it grows zip....but I've never seen this 4 leaves to a node thing, so I didn't know what the heck it was going to do. I thought you said that yours only grew 2 branches even though you had 4 leaves, but you flowered yours so that would explain why I didn't know what happened beyond the node that freaked on yours.
I will be vegging for another month or so, I read that the C-99 does better with a longer veg cycle, even though I'm impatient, I still want the best for my buck! I'm going to veg it long enough that these bottom branches can be cloned, then I'll switch to flower.
I just didn't know what this freak would do, if it would throw 4 leaves all the way up, or revert back to 2 leaves, or maybe start staggering. I'm just trippin on this little freak is all...lol Thanks for the info Zip! Good luck with the RO, I know nothing about them!

the number of fingers on a leaf doesnt mean anything, when you take a clone or reveg a plant somtimes the plant with put out JUST 3 finger leafs, somtimes even 1 finger leafs, and it doesnt really look like a pot plant at all!

Intensive, I know the fingers don't mean anything this has 4 sets of leaves instead of 2 at the 4th node, and coming in on the 5th. OK I got the pics,
BUT THEY ARE HUGE!!! sorry, my kid got P'd off at me and has quit...lol...I'm a s.o.b. can a mod size these since they are on the site? I still don't have aclue!!!! At least you can see the 4 leafs to the 1 node...lol...I'm a computer IDIOT!!!!

I use Paint to resize my pictures. It is really easy and almost everyone already has it on their computer.
