hey guys ive just scored a 400hps from a mate to use in veg room an it gives out a oragney yellow colour but the one ive got in my flower room gives off a whiter colour, both of the ballasts say 400hps an same on the bulbs but there different types of bulbs the whiter ones is a son t argro type bulb(that what it says on it) does this have a bit of blue septrum in it aswell,is this why its more white? cheers

Yep it's because of the added blue spec in the agro t.

so ya think it would be a good idea to put the son t with more blue spectrum into the veg room an the other into the flower room thank BBP

No, I think you should put the added spec bulb into the flower room and use cfls or something in the veg, saving the reg hps bulb for backup. That increased spec bulb is designed for optimum flower growth. It's true your plant uses mostly the red spec during flowering but it doesn't stop using the blue. Having a lil blue in your flower room will probably increase yield. Do your research...those enhanced spec bulbs usually cost a lot more than standard hps bulbs.
