I need some help

OK, I bought some Deisel lowryder seeds and I see they are auto flowering. I am just getting redy to bang out my room again, (temps are finally cooling off, and I thought I would throw these in the mix.
From what I understand, they will be finished in 9 weeks from seed.
I could not find anything specific for light cycle on this particular autoflower strain.
Does any know what the light cycle should be for this?

Timing wise, I will have my 1000w halides fired up @ 18/6 for the next month or so, then switch to HPS and got to 12/12
But, I heard that you can leave these under 18/6 the whole time??
Which is better??

What do you all think?

18/6 is the standard for flowering autos, I think. Richy B would be the man to ask.

No! It will diminish yield. Leave it at 18/6 whole time if you can. I do. Joint Dr's Grow guide reccomends that too. It also explains that if you do have to turn it back, you can go 16/8 the last two weeks without it diminishing yield, but my experiences tells me more light equals bigger, better, plants and buds. This should apply to all auto-flowering plants! The plant could go 24/7 the whole time and still flower! I love'em!
I want to get some Diesel Ryders as well. Sour Diesel is one of my favorite's! Now that Diesel comes in AF, I'm giddy as a school girl!:hubba: But seriously, I can't wait to see your grow. I've seen your skills before in the photo gallery, not to mention Bud of the Month winner a couple months back. I've only seen one other DieselRyder grow, and it was awesome. Thanks for the info. I think I will keep them under mt 1k until I need to flilp the room to 12/12.
Hopefully by then, I will have been able to sex them and put the females back under a 8 lamp T5 I just got. 432 watts should be ok for hopefully 5 females. Or am I mistaken, do you still have to sex the autoflowering plants?

Alot depends on grow space when it comes to watts. I go by lumens and sq ft.'g of a grow space. I wouldn't keep these plants on anything but 18/6 the whole time. They like HID lighting,since that's most of it's life, in flowering. Fluorescents don't penetrate good enough thru the canopy for this strain. I don't understand your sexing question. If pollinating I do it in the 3rd or 4th week, leaving the rest of it's time maturing those seeds.

So here is my deal. I have a 10x10 room with 4k. Right now it is down, so I was going to put the Deiselryder under one of the 1000's @ 18/6 for probably the next 4 weeks or so, while I veg up some Mazar girls that just rooted. I have convertable ballasts , so I can run MH while veggin'.
When the Mazar are big enough, I will flip the room to 12/12. I like to bang out 4k at once with about 36-40 girls.
So, when I do that, I will have to move the Dieselryder to my veg room with a 8 lamp T5 running. So, I know it is not optimal to go from big light to smaller, BUT, it will only be maybe 5 Dieselryder after I sex them. So, I am hoping they will be ok.

Bottom line, I have been wanting to run Mazar for a while and over the summer, I got seeds from DP and got 5 Females out of 10 seeds. I have been vegging them all summer and finally took some cuts and they have rooted. So, I have enough REALLY healthy ones to put under the 4k, so I will have to move the Dieselryder when I flip the room.

Sorry for the sexing confusion Richie, I just want to pull the males as soon as I see them. Like I said, I will have a room full of flowering Mazar next door, So I don't want to take ANY chances.

How's the quality on that auto-flowering bud? I've heard rumors of it not being as good, but I can't say I've ever tried... Hal, mind taking some pics of the plants? They should be what, halfway to harvest now?
