I waz thinking bout stripping all the branches off my male to protect against accidental pollenation and jus leaveing the top cola with a sandwich bag on it. cause that will be enough for a few other crosses:hubba: like with Haze or kush(Next Grow) But I jus wonder if it will be ok to cut the other branches??? or will it go into shock and die l8ter

I've cut excess fan leaves off of the plants before and it didn't go into shock..it stunted the growth, but not to where it didn't grow. I'm sure it would be fine.
I'll try it too, so if we both fail, we wont feel so bad for being idiots.
and if we succeed, we'll have some of our own genetics.

cutting the sun leaves of course wont hurt it but if you peel the bark(skin) then the plant will die eventaully and sooner than later and just cutting the sun leaves will not stop it from producing balls, get it away from the females, or put a bag over the whole thing and collect all ur seeds

same here.
I would think that putting a bag over the whole thing it would kill it pretty fast since no fresh air is getting to it.
I heard just putting bags over the pollen sacs works fine.

are u trying to pollenate the fems u have now?
either way collecting pollen for later shouldnt be that hard if ur trying to save it for later than take him out of the grow room b4 its to late ur cuurent fems if ur try to breed now then leave him be and collect some pollen when u see it

anyway if ur worried about cutting sunleaves off dont be, i always cut them off and use them for cooking i just leave the very top ones on

that not good for a femal plant cause they use them to make energy to gow and for food

im done with clipping the limbs off finna let them dry. got a sandwich over the top cols to catch any pollen. hoe this works. im not then ill try next time

As I remember people like Mr.puff, or Growdude i think tired to make hash from a male plant with bad results.. I don't think it will work man-

I like the ziplock over the top idea. Would you seal it? I was thinking about cutting a few small sections of balls off and tossing them in a jar to let them release.

i jus put a lil bag over it. closed but it still can let a lil air in and out, but i have the top cola pulled all the way down so it will drop the pollen str8 down. i jus used string to tie around the bag
