Hello, my name is Jeremy.!!! Just want to give everyone a shout and to welcome myself to this wonderful site... My lastest project is to grow 1 solid marijuana plant!! I germinated the 1 seed and grew a 1/4 inch root from the seed, then I planted it in the soil about 2 inches deep then covered it with loose soil over the top, it breached the soild and stand about an inche above the soil with 4 tiny leaves on the top.. Now I wanted to know is the vegitation stage??? Do i keep the light on 24/7 like what do I do!! I really don't want to kill the plant but I have my light about 2 inches from the top of the plant!! What do I do now how much light do I give it before its ready for flower stage? I just need to know what to do to get it to 12 on and 6 off!! I'm confused, if someone could plz help me be successful with my first crop then that would be fabulous!! Well welcome Jonzey88 to this site. First off what lighting you using? If its just flouresents than i would keep the light a little higher than 2 inches from the plant.like 3-4 inches. Yes this is the veg stage i would do 24 hrs on. The reason for this is when you turn the light off the plant streches for light, versus if you have it on 24/7 the plant will be shorter with less nod separation. Now as for when you go to bloom which is going to be 12on/12off, It depends on your grow space that you are working with. what type of method you are using? ex. hydro you want to bloom after your first month cause the plant still grows a lot in the bloom cycle. But im not a soil grower so I dont know how much the soil plant grows during flower/bloom if thats what you are doing you will have to ask a soil grower, when the best time to flower/bloom. Hope this helps.
