I just started my first indoor grow. I have 5 chemdog, 1 diesel, and 1 blue venom. My grow area is staying around 80-85 degrees until the exhaust fan kicks on then it drops to between 70-75 degrees. The fan runs for the first 15 minutes of every hour <because I have a cheep mechanical timer that only can be set for fifteen minute increments >. Will this change in temperature harm my girls? Also should I be running the exhaust fan more often?

I would go for 73-80 with lights on

Thanks for the quick reply. Can anyone tell me if the heat changing will hurt them?

I run my exhaust fan all the time the lights are on. Ventilation is for more than cooling. Your plants need a continual supply of fresh air for proper photosynthesis.

While I do not really know if it is harmful for the temps to go from 70-85 every hour, I am really sure that it is not good.

i as well run my exhaust 24/7..
i dont know how "serious" you are at this growin g thing.. but there is a climate contorler for the inlines...

they are very handy..they will dog your inline up or down to keep it at the temp set by you.. and thats lights on and off.. find em on ebay for 80-100$
