Naww i really dont want to have a bunch of plants.I think its more simple for me to have one big beast.I can give her alot more love and attention.I have my setup in a pretty big walk in closet.I have two tents in there.ONe tent is 2'8x2'8x7'6 my flowering tent.And my other tent is 2'2x2'2x5'3.I might get a 5x5x7'6 tent that should be plenty room for two.And then just move the smaller tent that i just use to start seeds and veg with out of the closet.Id rather have that smaller tent in my bedroom then a flowering tent lol.Im stuck for space for about 8 more months.Then i will get a house.So im just trying to maximize what i have.Thats kinda why i havent set up a mother or messed with clones yet.

mics... a SCROG "screen of green"... .. doesn't employ a 'bunch' of plants, but topping or training of fewer plants. (in your case..one)
A SOG "Sea of green" is the technique useing multiple plants/clones, flowered small.

Well, if it's risk you're worried about, sea of green could be a better alternative... Sure your number of plants increases, but intakes much less time to grow a bunch of small plants than it does to veg out a 3' beast! Just an idea mics.. I have a tent 2'8"x2'8"x5'4" and easily fit eight in there... I spend a month vegging and about two flowering... Where as you could spend this time just vegging! I prefer sea of green not only because of the time saved, but I find I can often times get a larger yield in this shorter time frame with more plants! You're taking the risk; your decision, but one big one will carry as much"weight" as a bunch of little ones, maybe more.. Not sure how they handle that where you're at, but here they charge you for the weight of plant, pot, and soil! 8 10" plants in 1 gal pots will weigh MUCH less than one huge plant in a 5-10 gallon container... Idk, just putting it out there!

I have always understood that if you use 1000's your nugs will be more dense especially if u can keep the heat down, my buddy was usin 3 600's then got good bud but then he switched to 3 1000's and his nug are rock hard for sure, dunno if its just a coincidence or what but thats why I got 1000's, we also have more space to cover though.... he has 5 -1000s in one room on light movers

the "other side of the coin".. Do you think a judge/jury is going to look at a plant count of say 30 plants,(regardless of their size, I guarantee the higher the number, the bigger the headlines..) compared to your 3 plant "personal use" any differently?? :hubba:

Shoulda seen the headlines of the guy who decided 30lbs dried and 300 plants was ok....he's now facing fed charges since this wasn't his first rodeo (still on probation after being busted with 200 a year before).....and the fool had a med card! Greed, go figure.

Thanks for all the input.I think im going to get a 4x4x7'6 and put a 600 watt light in it.That should give me more then what i have been getting.Here where im at they go by the amount of plants you grow not by weight.Im in texas.So to my understanding anything of six plants is automatic manufacturing with intent.Anything under is possession.Which we all know is really what you want.So for me two big beast would be ideal.I have read about other states they go by weight.And that sucks.Because we all know when you harvest a 3 ft plant.It weighs a few pounds.After you trim it down and dry it.WEll you know the rest.But im stuck in apt for 8 more months.So im just trying to maximize my area.And also since im going to grow two beast.Thats actually four plants.I have two tents.One for vegging and one for flowering.So i will keep a post on my next set up.Im actually getting my digital camera back in a couple of days.I have done 4 harvest since i start growing back a little over a year ago.I have had nothing less then 6 and half very close to 7 ounces of dried bud.So im kinda hopeing i could do the same on each of my next two plants.I will get a 4x4x7'6 with 600 hps hortilux and gh nutes using the expert program.And i use all the bottles.

I just read through your thread and wanted to drop in. I grew for a while using a 400HPS and then upgraded to 2 600HPS cooltubes and the difference in growth under a 400 versus a 600 is amazing. You will not be sorry. I also use the GH nutes myself; 3 part micro-grow-bloom, floarlicious plus and liquid koolbloom as well. Right now I have only 5 plants under my two 600's so I am dealing with monsters like you have been As far as stretching and dealing with giant plants goes, I suggest getting some pure Indica seeds. Those Sativas will go crazy on ya.

Yea im doing barneys vanilla kush its suppose to be all indica.Im going to stay away from the sativas.My last 2 harvest where super lemon haze from greenhouse.I got some nice harvest but each plant went over 5 feet.I have a 7'6 tent.But im sure you know with the lights and fan yada yada yada lol im really sitting at about 6 ft.So im going stick to nothing but indicas.So do you think with a 600 watt light i should get at least a ounce or maybe a little more per plant?Im going to stick to just doing two plants.

Well amount per plant is going to be dependent on a lot of things. A 600 puts out twice as much light as a 400HPS so assuming you take advantage of the lumens you could come close to doubling your harvest. You will see how much better the 600 performs than the 400, you will not be disappointed.

I'm not sure I could say you'll come close to doubling harvest with the addition of a light...if you're already pulling 6-7oz, doubling would be a great haul indeed! It will definitely give you some chunky nugs!

well im hoping and all i really need to max out my harvest is 10 ounces.Thats really my sweet spot.So im doing always 6 to 7 ounces nows.So maybe with a 600 watt light and two plants not just one i can get 10 ounces.Thats really all im going for.I dont need anymore then that.So you think i can squeeze the extra 2 and half ounces from a extra plant and a 600 watt light instead of 400 watt?

lol, an extra plant would get you there, light or not! More light never hurts, the addition will reward you!

Hey roddy i have read alot of youre post you see to be pretty experienced.If i add a 600 to my one plant set up do you think i could squeeze another ounce or two?Without adding another plant?It would be kinda nice for me to keep my setup i have now without adding a 1000 watt.I understand from everything i read from all you guys.A 1000 watt is crazy heat.And a 1000 would be over kill for my one plant flowering tent i have now.So basically the whole reason i starte this post two days ago.If i change from a 400 watt light to a 600 watt light do you think i could squeeze another 2 ounces from what im getting now?I am using a 400 watt light and im always getting from 6 to close to 7 ounces dried.I really just need to get 8 ounces im set.So it would be nice to just add a 600 watt light without adding a additional plant.Do you know what im trying to do roddy sorry for the paragraph lol

I personally don't think you can, but that's a questions for the experts lol! I appreciate your compliment, but I am only 4 pants into this myself LOL!!

I think you'll want to throw another plant in for the extra oz, the light will likely make for tighter, more potent buds, but I can't imagine making up an oz! The plus side of this would be you'll get more than that, and more never hurts! IMHO, you're going to add another light anyway, put all that energy to good work and benefit from it!!

I guess we will know in about 70 days.Im going to pick up a 600 watt light with a 600 watt hortilux bulb.Im going to start new seeds in two weeks.Im going to go ahead and start two and get ready for my next cycle.I will pick up a 4x4x7'6 tent.And i will be doing two plants for now on.But i have learned alot these past two cycles.I wont be growing any more sativa lol.But thanks for all the info.It has given my mind 20 questions over the past couple of days lol.Well i will have a digital camera before i start my next seeds.I guess this would be a good time to start my first mj porn catalog lol well thanks again guys!!!
