What's up everyone? On my first grow I had Big Bud, threw a journal up here, and had some awesome results! The subsequent two grows have been the same strain and proved to be disastrous. Same nutes, same soil, same seed company (except for one mistake with the Doc as his loyalists call him).

So here's what's going on with this grow. I want to have teh watchful eyes of people here help me out because I think I have been neglecting the details. I have had hermies twice now, problems with nute lockup (I think), and other basic errors. I think it stems from high heat and a change in location/water conditions but who knows.

This grow:
Ordered from BC Seedking, took a while but the seeds look great, free shipping, and cheap!
Hydrofarm 400W HPS setup (need a new HO bulb, any recommendations?)
Dual 3' flourescent strip
Fox Farms everything, including Ocean Forest soil usually mixed with almost 1/2 perlite, set up according to Mutt's bucket design in 5 gals.

I have four successfully germinated freebie seeds left over from another supplier a while back. I just put in 12 of the Blueberry seeds to germ from BCSK and I will also be germing 5 or so of the freebie Kahuna seeds they sent. Although, the bag said something like "Kitna" on it...???

Everything sounds great. Here's some GREEN MOJO to get them babies going. Good luck and look foward to following your grow. :aok:

Gonna try this new Picasa software, here some pics of the Blueberry germing and the other four unknown sprouting up. Oh yeah, the beardie is forced to share his cage (mainly the ceramic heat emitter) during germing.

Oh yeah - I got 16 not 15 Blueberry seeds from BCSK and out of the 12 put in to germ I had 9. Some were a bit too long so they may not make it but I am hopeful.

Alright, Picasa doesn't impress me. You can't specifiy precisely enough where to search and the add file feature doesn't bring new pics up. You can sure delete your files on accident though! I can't believe a program that uses this much memory could be so useless. How hard is it to just navigate the windows, honestly?

Can't get my Photoshop to load because I can't remember how to use KeyGen and Paint doesn't maintain proportions unless you sit there with a calculator. More pics when I am done beating my head against the wall.

:( I kind of like Picsas2 lol i don’t really have troubles navigating the program and if you have your settings right it works smoothly.. But good luck on the grow everything looks pretty well thought out and i'm sure any of the problems your having the great growers on this forum will be able to help out.. Good luck! :D

Hey BizzyHigh, thanks for checking out my journal!

Sorry about the software rant, had a frustrating day with the computer and not enough of the dankness.

TRY ACDSEE AS A PIC PROGRAM...

anyway, wanted to sub to the thread... looks good so far :)

right on, man... u got yer own growing apprentice lizard.:hubba:

good luck to ya

Nothing too big to report but I wanted to update with what actually popped out of the soil.

BCSK Blueberry - germed 12, 10 healthy sprouts
BSCK Kitna - germed 6, 5 healthy sprouts
DRCH Unknown - germed 4, 4 healthy sprouts

They are all about two inches out of the soil and I have been bending and burying the stems up to the leaves if they stretch. Won't bore anyone with pictures everyone's seen a thousand times.

HERE IS AN AREA WHERE I DO NEED HELP:
Will a bleach and water wipedown work to get rid of the pollen from my old grow?

Won't bore anyone with pictures everyone's seen a thousand times.

Oh, c'mon, PS...bore us...Please!!! ;)

Anyway, good luck with your grow!!

the pollin is probably spent if its been three months...i think after three months in that type of enviroment the pollin dies er sumthin. but using lysol would be easier and maybe wipe it down with a paper towel. later.

Lets try this out for resizing....

OK, I have included a few pictures from along the way so you guys have a pretty good picture of the overall progression. I am using a basic wire rack with three flouro fixtures chained from the top shelf. Total of 4, 4' bulbs and 2, 3' bulbs, all Philips Cool White.

So far it has worked very well. I had some issues with Dr. Chronic's freebies from a past grow going yellow, lets just say I was not surprised. But it has been fun to watch a bunch of plants going nuts under the lights, changing every day...I have about 19 right now I believe. Don't know how my single 400W is going to keep up with this, even with the help of all those flouros.

At this point, none of the plants have had any nutes, just the FF Ocean Forest and extra perlite.

Edit: I wanted to add a couple of comments. First, next time I am going to buy the same sized pots. These things were bought randomly and without much thought and some of the plants are on different watering schedules as a result. Second, the bathtub works well for watering. You can get the leaves wet as they would in nature and let it sit and dry for a bit before placing them back under the lights and the fan. I think this also gives them some time to recuperate from the stress of the watering as it is sort of a warm, gently lit 'incubator' type of an area.

Last post was from about a week or two ago. This one is current.

I gave them their first dose of nutes, just tossed a little Grow Big in their water, think it was about 6-8mL/gal. Oh yeah, and I'm using store bought purified water to see if it helps. The last couple grows have had some severe yellowing near the halfway point of the flowering phase and I'm thinking it's poor water, that's the only thing that I used to put in there that wasn't store bought and of high quality.

These babies are getting big! Some are up to eight inches, most are around six, and I'm getting some really good diameter too. Anyways, I know what you're all here for, on to the pictures!
