My bowl trimmer saved me a lot of time, but the cleanup wasn't easy. Getting the stickum off the grill took some elbow grease along with acetone and alcohol.

I spray mine with Pam before trimming, gloves, scissors, bowl and blade. Anything that might touch trichomes. It makes cleaning up after a lot easier.
Mine comes clean with Scentsy cleaner. They have a multi purpose cleaner thats a concentrate. It eats through sticky stuff like no one’s business. I soak my grill brushes over night and they rinse clean. It’s great stuff snd it smells wonderful.

I gotta feel better before I start anything else. The HB snd the CD are going to make it in the next few weeks. The weedseedsexpress beans are just sitting there. My smallest plants since I found Mykos and Jacks. They are just not growing.

Had to do an emergency chop-chop today. My neighbors HB plant had a little bit of PM on a couple lower branches and I don’t want to lose the whole crop. Got half trimmed up mainly by hand but I tested out my neighbors bowl trimmer. Boy is that a time saver. Going to use it on the 2nd half of the HB tomorrow. I read somewhere that agitating branches in a dilute mix of H2O2 and a couple of rinses buckets will clear off PM so I preemptively did that to the HB plant even though I didn’t see any PM. Manute Bol is still doing fine. No PM or bud rot in her nor my neighbors clone sibling of Manute. So I am down to one plant

Thanks but it is all my neighbors doings. I provided the seeds, she tossed a bunch in a 1 gallon pot and got 10 plants. She didn’t cull any. I chopped the 1 male plant she got once I saw balls. Pretty good for her first grow. She is going to have probably over a pound and a half between the OFSG, the HB and the CDSRxNDU.

I made some dry ice keif this morning with the popcorn buds and trimmings. I will keep the leftovers for making butter after I chop Manute Bol. I will make some keif with that plant too. The terps on her are really beautiful.
I tried a 96 mesh screen but didn’t get much so I put that stuff in a container and moved up to the 120 mesh screen. Much better yield. Did 3 runs that are separate. The 3rd just went into my joint rolling container. I will be compressing it all when my pollen press mold comes. My plan is to use my workbench vise and my heat gun to try to make it more like hash.

Looks like I got about 13 oz’s from the HB plants(the sixth one which I defoliated late in flower didn’t have any good sized buds do it all went into the ‘hash pile’. I lost probably a quarter pound to bud rot

Great to see you’re still around. Excited to see how this works…..I only tried my hand at keif once (bubble bags) and it wasn’t a very good outcome. Looking forward to seeing how the press and heat gun work.

I use an old cookie tin(about 2 quarts) and a metal screen mesh. About 3 to 1 volume of bud/trim to dry ice. This is the 2nd time I made it and I am pretty happy with the yield and it smells incredible. I will take a pic of what I mean above when I get home later.

I used parchment paper and a rolling pin to compress the keif from the 96 mesh run. It yielded a nice little disc of hash. Pretty potent stuff. I smoked a ball a bit bigger than a BB and was baked for a couple hours. My press mold is coming today. I may not use heat after seeing what just pressure will do. I may just try cranking it in the vise and trying to tighten the vise tighter every hour give it take…

It is a ‘press mold’. I am not sure what use it is designed for but it looked like it would work as a device to compress keif. I ‘Rube Goldberg’ stuff all the time. I think it comes from my early career as a process engineer where I would need to improvise methods to make prototypes in order to sell a product to customers. The mold is coming later today so tomorrow I will be able to tell you if it actually works
. My gut tells me I will need to press the keif multiple times(press, remove the block of keif, redistribute, press, repeat). I’m thinking I will have to make a parchment paper liner for the mold to prevent sticking. I could use non-stick spray but I don’t want to introduce any impurities into the blocks of keif/hash…Similar threads
