It is a ‘press mold’. I am not sure what use it is designed for but it looked like it would work as a device to compress keif. I ‘Rube Goldberg’ stuff all the time. I think it comes from my early career as a process engineer where I would need to improvise methods to make prototypes in order to sell a product to customers. The mold is coming later today so tomorrow I will be able to tell you if it actually works. My gut tells me I will need to press the keif multiple times(press, remove the block of keif, redistribute, press, repeat). I’m thinking I will have to make a parchment paper liner for the mold to prevent sticking. I could use non-stick spray but I don’t want to introduce any impurities into the blocks of keif/hash…
I didn’t but I may repress what I pressed above. My fear about using heat is it may be harder to get apart than it already is.I love that pic with the old mag. Gotta love George.
Are ya putting any heat to it?
I bet you are right. My brain isn’t working like it used to…I think he may have been referring to the capo.

I use mine pretty frequently(it is a Thalia capo) because I hate Barre chords and using it makes it so I can play songs using chord shapes I am more comfortable with(and still have them in the right key). I use the Ultimate Guitar app for tabs and it lets you transpose songs up or down in steps to change the chord progression. I know I should practice more but I don’t…That’s a nice one, btw. I got a couple laying around, but never really used them.
Smashed the rest of my keif. Wound up with 32 grams. The press idea worked but as I kind of expected, not as well as I hoped. It is hard to get enough pressure with a bench vise. The squares are pretty dense and the consistency of taffy. Getting the press apart was a bit of a chore. Nothing a rubber mallet couldn’t handle though…

Really pretty BOTM?This cross is going to be my go-to outdoor grow strain. Bug, PM and Bud Rot resistant. Nice buzz. Gorgeous aroma. Has survived sub-freezing temps. I am contemplating chopping one of the plants today(yes there are 2 plants in the same hole). I am getting to the point where I would be really furious if my neighbors lawn service snatched these from me.View attachment 365119View attachment 365118
thanks. I may give it a try. I’m glad I preserved this strain by making seeds in my tent last spring. This is the first strain I have grown outside that has been problem free.Really pretty BOTM?
I see feetsiesThe rootball on my neighbors last plant. No wonder it kinda stunted in flower…View attachment 365142
I guess I should have had her up-pot it.
I am not going to be much help. Mine are outside like 4th week of flower. It has been getting colder at night but only the 40s. Last year I had males only outside. They died when it hit 20. It was in the 30s several times it even frosted a time or 2. It was only a Light frost.I have a question for outdoor growers. I have one plant still going outside. We had a cold night last week where it got down to 27 at my house. The plant didn’t seem affected. This morning it was 26 when I got up. A lot of the fan leaves are wilted when I went out to check them but the buds look ok. It isn’t supposed to get down below 30 for the next week or so. I would like it to ripen up a bit as I have mostly cloudy with maybe 5% amber trichs. Are the wilted fan leaves an indication that the plant is on its last leg(and I should chop it) or will the buds continue to develop(I guess it could be both)?
Thanks. This was the 2nd frost of the season. I am going to chop one of the 2 today and leave the other to see how it goes.I am not going to be much help. Mine are outside like 4th week of flower.
